Limited Repair Warranty Terms & Conditions

How ApplianceGo evaluates covered repair work, installed parts, exclusions, inspection rights and warranty claims.

Last updated: September 30, 2026.

These Limited Repair Warranty Terms & Conditions explain how ApplianceGo reviews warranty requests after an appliance repair. They are written for real service situations: one appliance, one diagnosis, one approved repair, and the invoice that documents what was done.

Important Warranty Summary

  • Warranty only covers the specific repair and parts listed on the invoice.
  • Warranty does not cover the entire appliance.
  • New or unrelated failures are separate issues.
  • Electrical damage is excluded unless directly caused by our covered work.
  • Third-party repair or modification may affect warranty eligibility.
  • Contact us before another technician performs work if you believe our repair failed.

This summary does not replace the full terms below.

1. Scope of Warranty

The warranty applies only to the specific repair performed, the specific parts supplied and installed by ApplianceGo, and workmanship related directly to the repair listed on the invoice. The warranty does not cover the entire appliance. A future malfunction does not automatically mean the original repair failed.

2. Warranty Period

Unless a different written term appears on the invoice, the standard labor warranty is 90 days and the standard parts warranty is 1 year where applicable. Manufacturer-specific, invoice-specific, customer-supplied, used, refurbished, remanufactured, or aftermarket part terms may be different. Invoice-specific written warranty terms control when they conflict with this page.

3. Warranty Limited to Original Repair

Warranty applies only to the repair or part listed on the original service invoice. Failures involving unrelated components are separate issues unless diagnosis confirms that they directly resulted from the original covered repair.

4. Third-Party Work or Intervention

If third-party work causes or contributes to the subsequent problem, that issue is not covered. This includes work performed after our service by another appliance repair technician or company, electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, handyman, contractor, building maintenance staff, landlord or property manager, customer, family member, tenant, or any other third party.

Examples include opening or disassembling the appliance, rewiring, replacing or removing parts, modifying wiring or electrical connections, changing control boards, bypassing safety systems, refrigerant work, plumbing changes, or attempted repairs. Merely using another company does not automatically void all warranty rights. However, if third-party work materially changes the appliance or affected system before we can inspect it, and therefore prevents us from reliably determining whether the issue arose from our original repair, warranty coverage for that issue may be denied to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Electrical Damage Exclusion

Warranty does not cover damage caused by conditions outside the scope of our repair, including power surges, voltage fluctuation, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, improper grounding, faulty outlet, defective breaker, defective electrical panel, loose wiring, building electrical problems, generator-related issues, reconnecting an appliance to an unsafe electrical source, electrical work performed by another person, or lightning-related electrical damage. Electrical damage occurring after repair is not automatically evidence of defective workmanship.

6. External Events and Force Majeure

Warranty does not cover damage resulting from fire, flooding, water leaks, lightning, power outages, power surges, natural disasters, extreme heat, freezing, pest infestation, rodents, insects, construction, remodeling, transportation, moving the appliance, or accidental physical damage.

7. Pre-Existing Conditions

An appliance may have other defects, wear, deterioration, concealed damage, or developing issues unrelated to the requested repair. Repairing one issue does not mean every component has been inspected, repaired, or warranted.

8. Appliance Age and Wear

Older appliances may contain worn or near-failure components. Repair of one component does not guarantee the remaining useful life of unrelated components.

9. Unrelated Component Failures

Unrelated component failures are not covered. For example, if we replace a refrigerator control board and the compressor later fails, the compressor failure is not covered unless it is determined to have been caused directly by our repair. The same principle applies to a washer motor after a drain repair, a dryer heating element after a belt repair, a dishwasher control board after a drain pump repair, or an oven igniter after a thermostat repair.

10. Customer Misuse

Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, overloading, improper cleaning, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, physical damage, blocked ventilation, improper temperature settings, foreign objects, poor maintenance, or continued use after warning signs.

11. Installation Conditions

Unless installation was part of the original service scope, warranty does not cover problems caused by poor installation, improper leveling, improper ventilation, faulty water supply, faulty drain connection, gas supply issues, inadequate electrical supply, cabinetry restrictions, or structural issues.

12. Manufacturer Defects and Recalls

Warranty does not cover manufacturer design defects, recalls, firmware defects, factory defects, manufacturer-specific defects, or manufacturer warranty claims unless directly connected to a covered repair performed by ApplianceGo.

13. Customer-Supplied Parts

If the customer supplies a part, no warranty applies to the part itself. Any workmanship warranty applies only to installation, if applicable, unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

14. Used, Refurbished, Remanufactured, or Aftermarket Parts

If a used, refurbished, remanufactured, or aftermarket part is approved by the customer, warranty coverage follows the specific warranty applicable to that part.

15. Diagnostic Limitations

Diagnosis is based on the appliance condition and symptoms at the time of inspection. Some problems are intermittent. A successful repair or diagnosis does not guarantee that no unrelated future component failure will occur.

16. Intermittent Problems

If the reported issue cannot be reproduced, additional diagnostic visits may be required. A recurring symptom does not necessarily mean the same root cause.

17. Refrigeration and Sealed-System Repairs

For refrigerator sealed-system repairs, warranty applies only to the parts and work specifically identified on the invoice. It does not automatically cover new leaks elsewhere, evaporators, condensers, fans, sensors, valves, control boards, electrical wiring, or unrelated sealed-system failures unless directly included in the repair.

18. Water Damage and Leakage

Customers should stop using leaking appliances and protect surrounding property. Consequential water damage is excluded to the maximum extent allowed by law.

19. Unsafe Appliance Use

Stop using the appliance immediately if there is a burning smell, smoke, sparks, arcing, severe overheating, major leakage, dangerous vibration, or unusual electrical behavior. Continued use after a known fault may cause additional damage not covered by warranty.

20. Warranty Claim Procedure

Warranty claims should include customer name, service address, invoice or service order number, original service date, a description of the issue, and photos or video if requested. The customer must allow ApplianceGo a reasonable opportunity to inspect the appliance before authorizing further repairs.

21. Third-Party Repair Before Inspection

If you believe our repair failed, contact us first. If another party alters or repairs the affected system before our inspection, and the original condition can no longer be reliably inspected, warranty eligibility may be limited or denied to the extent permitted by applicable law.

22. Warranty Inspection

A warranty request is not automatically approved. ApplianceGo has the right to inspect and diagnose the appliance before determining whether the issue is covered. If covered, we will address the repair according to warranty terms. If not covered, normal service, diagnostic, labor, parts, travel, or service-call fees may apply.

23. Diagnostic and Service Call Fees

Fees may apply if the reported issue is unrelated, the appliance works normally, no defect is found, the issue results from misuse, electrical conditions, third-party intervention, inaccessible equipment, or inaccurate customer information.

24. No Guarantee of Appliance Lifespan

A repair does not guarantee the remaining useful life of the appliance. ApplianceGo does not guarantee that another component will not fail.

25. Repair vs. Replacement

The customer decides whether to repair or replace the appliance. Technician recommendations are professional opinions based on available information, not guarantees of future appliance life.

26. Cosmetic Conditions

Warranty does not cover scratches, dents, rust, discoloration, finish wear, or cosmetic damage unless specifically included in the work order.

27. Appliance Access

The customer must provide reasonable and safe access. Additional charges may apply if an appliance must be unstacked, removed from cabinetry, moved from a confined space, disconnected from a custom installation, or accessed through unsafe conditions.

28. Parts Availability

ApplianceGo is not liable for supplier or manufacturer delays involving discontinued parts, backorders, unavailable parts, superseded parts, or shipping delays.

29. Limitation of Remedy

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApplianceGo's warranty obligation is limited to correcting covered workmanship or repairing or replacing the covered part. The warranty does not promise automatic cash refunds.

30. Consequential Damage Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, warranty does not automatically cover food spoilage, hotel expense, restaurant expense, laundry expense, lost wages, lost business, inconvenience, loss of use, indirect property loss, incidental damages, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions may not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

31. Food Loss

The customer is responsible for protecting food and temperature-sensitive items. Unless required by law, spoiled food is not reimbursed under the repair warranty.

32. No Oral Warranty Modifications

Technicians, subcontractors, and employees cannot expand the warranty verbally. Any warranty modification must be confirmed in writing by an authorized ApplianceGo representative.

33. Customer Representations

The customer confirms they are authorized to request service, provided accurate appliance information, and disclosed prior repair history or third-party work where relevant.

34. Service History Disclosure

The customer should disclose previous repairs, electrical work, DIY repairs, parts replacements, wiring modifications, major power incidents, and previous technicians.

35. Photos and Service Records

ApplianceGo may maintain photos, videos, serial number, model number, technician notes, diagnostic readings, part numbers, timestamps, and service history for warranty evaluation and record keeping.

36. Non-Transferable Warranty

Unless required otherwise by law, warranty applies to the original customer and service address.

37. Moved Appliances

Damage caused by moving, transporting, uninstalling, reinstalling, or relocating the appliance is not covered unless specifically part of our service.

38. Commercial Use

Residential warranty may not apply to appliances used in commercial environments, including restaurants, laundromats, rental properties, commercial kitchens, offices, high-volume usage locations, and similar settings. Commercial terms may differ by written agreement or invoice.

39. Refused Recommended Repairs

If a technician recommends additional repairs and the customer declines them, subsequent damage caused by the declined condition is not covered.

40. Temporary Repairs

Temporary or emergency repairs do not carry a long-term guarantee unless specifically stated in writing.

41. Unsafe Conditions

ApplianceGo may stop or refuse service where there are electrical hazards, gas leaks, severe water leaks, mold, structural instability, pest infestation, dangerous access, or a threatening or unsafe customer environment.

42. Warranty Determination

Warranty determination may consider the original invoice, technician notes, parts installed, photos, appliance condition, service history, diagnostic results, evidence of third-party work, electrical damage, and external damage.

43. Courtesy Service Is Not Admission of Liability

If ApplianceGo provides a free diagnostic, courtesy repair, goodwill repair, discount, or complimentary service, this does not constitute an admission of fault or liability and does not restart or expand the original warranty unless specifically stated in writing.

44. Severability

If one section is unenforceable, the remaining sections remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

45. Applicable Law

These terms are subject to applicable federal, state, and local consumer protection laws. Nothing in these terms attempts to waive rights that legally cannot be waived.
